Global star Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, known for her entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavours, has recently travelled to numerous stunning destinations, including Oman, Africa, Italy, and Melbourne.
However, her planned trip to Iceland took a sudden turn after she came across a chilling post by Seaspiracy that urged action against whale hunting. Deeply moved by the message, Upasana took to Instagram to announce that she had cancelled her Iceland plans.
In her Instagram story, Upasana shared a post from Seaspiracy that highlighted the shocking renewal of Iceland’s whaling licenses, allowing the killing of over 2,000 whales, including vulnerable fin whales. The post also revealed that 36 Members of the European Parliament have signed a letter demanding Iceland revoke these licenses and commit to a permanent ban on commercial whaling. The letter emphasized the importance of whales in mitigating climate change, as they help sequester CO2, and urged immediate action under international laws protecting marine life.
Upasana’s decision to cancel her trip sparked a wave of support from her followers, who praised her for standing up for such an important cause. As she takes a firm stance on environmental issues, her husband Ram Charan is gearing up for the much-anticipated release of Game Changer on January 10, keeping the buzz high for both their professional and personal lives.
