Ever since the re-release trend started in Telugu, there has been a great reception for many of the films at the box office. We have seen in some cases where the movies performed well during the re-release compared to their original release. Now, the new year 2025 will be welcomed by the re-release of some super hit Telugu films.
On the 1st of January 2025, Telugu cinema will witness the re-release of movies like Hitler, Sye, and Oye. This is a second re-release for Oye.
Earlier, when Oye was released, the movie drew the attention of many. For a straight one week, the film witnessed housefulls in many areas during the re-release. Directed by Anand Ranga, the film featured Siddharth and Shamili in the lead roles. The film is considered an evergreen classic love story in Telugu cinema.
SS Rajamouli’s Sye is an all-time favourite film for many. Telugu cinema witnessed many sports based films but Rajamouli introduced Rugby to the Telugu audiences with Sye. The film features Nithiin and Genelia in the lead roles. The film is a big blockbuster and it is having a re-release now.
Surprisingly, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Hitler is also hitting the screens on the 1st January. Hitler is considered to be a film that brought Chiranjeevi back to the success, when he was struggling with a series of flops. Muthyala Subbaiah directed the film and Chiranjeevi played the lead role who is very protective of his sisters.
In the new year, more films are expected to have a re-release. If the re-releases bring a bright start to the box office in the new year, we can expect that the usual releases also would kick-off on a flying note.
