Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met the Telugu film industry personalities today. Producer Dil Raju also briefed everyone on everything that happened during their interaction. However, some news channels reported that Revanth Reddy mentioned about Allu Arjun during the meeting.
Reportedly, Revanth clarified his stance on Allu Arjun and the Sandhya theatre stampede issue. He made it clear that he was not at all angry with Allu Arjun. “Why would I be angry with Allu Arjun?” the CM remarked, emphasizing that both Allu Arjun and Ram Charan have been acquainted with him since childhood and share a long-standing rapport.
“Despite personal opinions, I have to do certain things as per the law, and I am just doing my duty,” Revanth reportedly said.
The CM also urged the film industry to actively participate in addressing social issues, particularly by promoting awareness about drug and marijuana eradication. He reminded attendees that the Congress government has historically supported the film industry and assured that his administration would continue this legacy.
Revanth Reddy spoke of initiatives to create a distinctive brand for the Telugu film industry while enhancing Telangana’s reputation. He pointed to the establishment of the Gaddar Award as a step toward recognizing talent in the state, filling a gap in regional accolades. He also credited the appointment of Dil Raju as the FDC Chairman as a strategic move to strengthen collaboration between the government and the industry.
