Legendary actor, producer and studio owner Akkineni Nageshwara Rao needs no introduction to the Telugu community. He is also a special personality in Indian cinema. Surprisingly, during the 117th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi takes the name of ANR while speaking about cinema.
Speaking on the episode, Narendra Modi praised ANR’s contributions to Telugu cinema. Modi gave proper elevations to ANR that his significant contributions helped Telugu cinema grow leaps and bounds. Modi also complimented how ANR portrayed traditions and values in an exemplary manner.
Since the Indian cinema is celebrating the centenary year of ANR across the nation, Modi must have acknowledged the occasion to take a moment to appreciate ANR. Last year, Modi also mentioned about NTR in one of his episodes of Mann Ki Baat.
On the other hand, Modi also praised the contributions of Bollywood legends Tapan Sinha and Raj Kapoor, that they helped in the Indian cinema gaining a global recognition.
Modi also announced that India will host the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit next year.
