Nidhhi Agerwal has been awaiting the release of her Telugu films for the past few years. She is part of the highly anticipated movies The Raja Saab and Hari Hara Veeramallu. Both films are set to release this year.
Recently, she interacted with the fans on X, and she commented on speaking Telugu. It was blown out of proportion, and many think Nidhhi posted a satire against Kajal Aggarwal. But recently, she clarified the same.
In a recent YouTube interview, she spoke about the stereotype of Mumbai and North Indian actresses working in Telugu cinema but not trying to learn the language despite years in the industry.
While acknowledging this trend, Nidhhi emphasized her efforts to learn Telugu, motivated by her admiration for the Telugu audience’s love and support.
That time, she commented, “Naku Telugu vastundi, Nenu Andhariki Namaskaram batch kadu.” Many heroines in Telugu just say one line – Andhariki Namaskaram in Telugu and continue their speech in English.
Kajal did it more often despite being in the industry for many years. So, when Nidhhi said it, many naturally thought that she is referring to Kajal.
Nidhhi mentioned that although initially struggling with the language, she dedicated herself to learning it. She remarked that she now feels confident speaking Telugu, distancing herself from the “Andhariki Namaskaram batch.”
She clarified that her comment was not directed at Kajal Aggarwal or any specific actress, addressing any potential misunderstanding surrounding her statement.
