Telugu Title for Tamil Dubbing Film!

In the recent past, the Telugu audiences expressed their displeasure over the Tamil dubbing films. A decade ago, a proper care was taken while dubbing the movies to Telugu. From changing the title to re-writing the dialogues as per the nativity, the filmmakers used to put a lot of effort. In the recent past, we have seen the makers not preferring to change the titles. But, as a changing trend, Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi unit has announced a Telugu title for the film.

Ajith is a successful hero in Tamil who has fans in Telugu as well. One of his last films Valimai was released in Telugu without a change in the title. It triggered the anger of a lot of fans. It had impacted his last film Thunivu, which was released as Tegimpu in Telugu. However, now, the makers of Vidaamuyarchi titled their film as Pattudala in Telugu.

A few months ago, there was a big debate regarding Superstar Rajinikanth’s film Vettaiyaan. The makers released the film in Telugu with the Tamil title itself. The team had to hold a press meet to explain that they preferred the same title across the pan-India. The audiences were not happy with the titles Raayan, Thanagalan and even Kanguva. However, the message is clear that the Telugu audiences wanted the language to be respected and proper care has to be taken.

It looks like the message has hit the Tamil filmmakers and they announced the Telugu title for this upcoming biggie. The film unit will launch the theatrical trailer today evening and Pattudala is scheduled for a release next month.
