The attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan came in as a shocker to the entire country this morning. The actor was reportedly stabbed six times by an unidentified robber during a robbery attempt at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday and Saif was immediately rushed to the hospital in an auto by his son Ibrahim Ali Khan.
Meanwhile, the latest reports revealed that the attacker demanded Rs. 1 crore during the incident. As per the statement released by the Mumbai Police, the culprit intruded into Saif’s house at around 02.30 am today and was having a heated argument with one of the house staff. Saif then entered the scene and tried to settle the issue. However, the culprit attacked him by stabbing him six times. He immediately escaped after the attack.
Saif was later rushed to the Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery under the supervision of Dr Niraj Uttamani. It was stated that the Devara actor’s condition is being monitored closely and more details would be revealed soon. The police have registered the case and the investigation is currently underway.
The initial pictures of the intruder, which were captured on CCTV cameras, were also released by the police.
