Varun Tej Finally Lands In Safe Genre

Varun Tej teamed up with director Merlapaka Gandhi for a horror-comedy by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments. Tentatively called VT15, the film is currently in the pre-production stage. Varun Tej and Merlapaka Gandhi and the film’s producers landed in Vietnam and is busy with preproduction work.

Interestingly, Varun Tej has now select a safe genre by doing a horror film. Usually, many heroes avoid doing horror movies because of its limited appeal but the fact is that horror is always a safe bet. Many superstars have attempted horror films in the past and tasted big hits. So now, Varun is looking at the horror genre, considering it a safe bet.

Moreover, Varun Tej scored back to back flops in the recent times. After F3, Varun scored three flops, Operation Valentine, Gandeevadhari Arjun and Matka. Now, Varun is badly in need of a hit. The miserable failure of his last film Matka has pushed Varun to a corner that he has to reinvent himself and revive his market.

The makers revealed Varun Tej and the makers are currently in Vietnam for final story discussions and location scouting. They have shared a few pictures on social media too.

Touted to be an Indo-Korean horror comedy, VT15 will be shot in Vietnam, South Korea and India. Reportedly, Varun Tej also went through rigorous physical training under the supervision of Korean stuntmen for this movie.

The shoot of VT15 will begin in the first week of March. The other cast members will be revealed soon. Thaman is composing the music for the film.
