Naga Chaitanya married Samantha Ruth Prabhu in 2017. However, things didn’t go well within them and they separated in 2021. Even after all these years of getting divorced, their relationship makes it to the headlines quite often. Recently, Naga Chaitanya opened up on his divorce and stated that it was a mutual decision taken with respect for one another. He also requested fans and media to give them the privacy they requested.
Speaking in a podcast recently, Chaitanya said that it’s not like this thing happened only in his life and questioned why he is being treated like a criminal. He said that he comes from a broken family and he thought a lot before separating from Samantha. He stated that he and Samantha wanted to go on their own ways. He said it was a personal decision made for their own reasons and they still have respect for one another. He hoped that the fans and media respect their decision. He said that unfortunately, their divorce became a topic of entertainment and gossip.
Naga Chaitanya asserted that he and Samantha moved on in their respective lives and were leading their own lives independently and happily.
Chaitanya also opened up on his wife Shobita Dhulipala being blamed for the divorce with Samantha. He said that she is not at fault in this issue and he feels very bad for her and added she doesn’t deserve all of this negativity. He revealed that he and Shobita met in a very organic and beautiful way. He said their casual chat on social media led to friendship and eventually marriage.
