Suriya’s last film, Kanguva, failed big time at the box office, but he is now determined to come back to success with the film Retro. Karthik Subbaraj is the director of the movie, and he is in need of a big hit. We hope that Suriya and Karthik recreate magic at the box office.
Interestingly, the film is titled Retro in Telugu as well. The makers dropped the teaser of the movie in Telugu, and it has been dubbed well. The action drama with a vintage-making approach carries the tale of the lead pair who fall into the chaos.
Suriya, an aggressive personality, gets into fights because of his father. When the leading lady, Pooja, enters his life, he attempts to change. The visuals are grand, and Karthik Subbaraj seemed to be delivering a proper commercial product full of action and romance.
The teaser promises a good film, but we have to see if the success really gets translated onto the big screen.
Suriya and Jyothika produced the film jointly. The film releases on May 1st, 2025.
