But a recent blockbuster is coming to television before it hits the digital platforms.
The biggest blockbuster of 2025, Sankranthiki Vastunnam is coming as a TV premiere and Zee Telugu acquired the rights for the same. The new funny trailer announced that Sankranthiki Vastunnam is coming soon on television by emphasizing the line ‘First time on television before OTT’.
Well, Sankranthiki Vastunnam has become so close to the family audiences and the television premiere garnering monstrous viewership won’t be a surprise.
However, if this strategy is to revive the lost glory of television premieres and if it proves effective, broadcasters investing crores might drive a new demand among filmmakers.
