Popular playback singer Kalpana attempted suicide and is currently being treated in a hospital in Hyderabad.
Singer Kalpana resides in Nizampet near KPHB colony in Hyderabad. The security observed that the gates of their house were not opened for two days and notified the association. The members of association tried to reache her by phone but their attempt went in vain. Her husband too could not reach her by phone.
The members of the association informed the police and the latter opened the force-opened doors only to find Kalpana in an unconscious state and has reportedly attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills. They rushed her to a private hospital. Kalpana is now being treated with ventilator support. Her husband was in Chennai and is now heading to Hyderabad.
The reason for her suicide attempt is not known yet.
