Streaming Now: Much-Delayed ‘Agent’

Akhil Akkineni’s much-delayed project Agent is finally streaming on Sony LIV. After many postponements, the film is available on Sony LIV. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film is billed to be a high octane actioner which also introduced Sakshi Vaidya as the heroine. Mammootty also played a crucial role in the movie.

Despite immense pre-release hype, the film’s repeated delays led to a decline in audience expectations. Upon its theatrical release, it did not perform as well as anticipated. The film’s producer, Anil Sunkara himself, confirmed that the film did not perform to their expectations.

The film’s arrival on OTT became a suspenseful affair, with Sony Liv acquiring the streaming rights. The digital release was originally planned for 2023 but after two years, it finally released.

Though it was scheduled to premiere on March 14, the film became available on the evening of March 13. The film can be streamed in all South languages.
