When Ananya Nagalla debuted with Mallesham in Telugu, no one expected that she would survive for a long time. But, her talent got her a wide range of roles in the industry. Despite debuting as a solo leading lady, Ananya went on to do small roles in other films as well. Now, she is gearing up for her first film in Hindi, which can be termed as a significant milestone in her career.
Going by the reports, Ananya will debut in Bollywood, with a film titled, Kaanta, directed by Rakesh Jaggi. Rakesh is a noted name in Hindi TV circuit and he is directing the project, featuring Ananya in the role of a tribal girl. The actress earned this role through sheer hard work and dedication but her survival in Hindi cinema remains a question.
It is unfair to judge this aspect at this stage, but the reality is that the top league heroines of Telugu, when they attempted to debut in Hindi, could not repeat the success. While most South actresses try their luck in Bollywood after finding success in the South — and often fail — Ananya is testing her luck in Bollywood, that too, with a female-centric film, in the direction of a less-known technician.
Ananya might be talented but finding the right script and right project will be the key to making it big in any industry. At the same time, she is equally focusing on establishing herself in Hindi as well.
Hope Ananya gets a good recognition by proving everyone wrong and making everyone proud from South.
