Pooja Hegde Loves To Do Sridevi Biopic

Pooja Hegde is one of the heroines who gained stardom in the Telugu film industry. Despite her debut film, Oka Laila Kosam, not doing well, she received a lot of love for her subsequent films in Telugu. However, she is not very active in Telugu in recent times. After quitting Guntur Kaaram, she has not signed any film in Telugu. Currently, she is promoting Retro, and on this occasion, she spilled some beans about her career’s progress.

Pooja Hegde has been a part of many successful films and commercial potboilers. She earned a nice name and also a place in the hearts of Telugu audiences. She acted with almost all the big stars too. However, talking about the biopic trend, she shared some interesting things.

When asked if she would love to be a part of Sridevi’s biopic, playing the legendary actress’ role, Pooja said, “I already danced to her song, Elluvachi Godaramma. And, I would love to act in that film.”

Pooja also opened up about being a part of biopics. “Biopic is something that I have not done before. However, it excites me to be a part of the stories about unsung heroes rather than famous persons. At the same time, I also want to act in sports dramas,” she said.

Pooja Hegde has not signed any film in Telugu so far but she confirmed that she is doing one soon and it is a love story. The actress wants to announce it when it is the right time. But, she pins big hopes on the movie.

In the end, she thanks the audiences in Telugu for their continuous love. “If the audiences are paying money to buy a ticket and watch me on the screen, I take it as a compliment. Also, I am grateful to the Telugu audiences. Telugu people always remain in my heart,” she said.

Pooja is romancing Suriya in Retro, releasing on the 1st of May. Sithara Entertainments is releasing the film.
