Retro Trailer Talk: Raw & Too Loud!

Suriya teamed up with director Karthik Subbaraj for the upcoming film Retro. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead role in the movie. The team launched the trailer today which sets the mood and tone along with the expectations.

The trailer immediately introduces the key characters one by one in fast-paced frames. We can have glimpses of Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Joju George, and others. After the introduction of these characters, an intense action sequence follows, where a man prepares for war. The trailer look bit loud too.

In the middle of the chaos and dramatic events, Suriya makes a promise to Pooja Hegde that he will distance himself from violence, and rowdyism. But, he struggles to keep the promise and almost turns into a demon. Suriya is deeply involved in the world of turbulence, chaos, and confronts people only with violence, in style.

The trailer is filled with eccentric characters yet amusing while the setup is completely different. Karthik Subbaraj seems to be trying something away from what he regularly does. The interesting fact is that Premam director Alphonse Puthren cut the trailer without giving away too many deets about the plot.

The film is hitting the screens on the 1st of May. Sithara Entertainments bankrolled the movie.
