Actor Shine Tom Chacko, who was recently arrested in connection with a drug case, has made several revealing statements during police interrogation. In his official statement, Shine admitted to using methamphetamine and cannabis, and also detailed aspects of how drugs are accessed and consumed within parts of the film industry. He also shockingly mentioned that there are other major actors from the industry who consume drugs too.
According to his testimony, Shine confessed that he came to the Vedanta Hotel to meet a foreign Malayali woman with whom he had been in frequent phone contact. He also admitted to making transactions involving drugs. However, he said he does not remember the exact individuals involved in these drug transactions or the timeline of events.
Shine also revealed that he and the other actor are often blamed, but in reality, other major actors also consume drugs.
Shine told the police that he ran out of the room in fear, believing that individuals tied to a financial dispute involving his father were coming to assault him. The police found that Shine made some transactions ranging from 2000 rupees to 5000 rupees. But, he clarified that they are loans he gave to people.
Regarding drug usage, Shine admitted he regularly snorts methamphetamine and uses cannabis occasionally, particularly when offered to him on film sets. He claimed he had never arranged drugs himself for sets but acknowledged that “special agents” deliver drugs to film locations.
