Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar is one of the most influential actors in Indian cinema. Ajith was last seen in Good Bad Ugly and was also recently conferred with the Padma Bhushan award. Interestingly, Ajith’s racing career is also flourishing well. Now, there are reports about his retirement from the cinema too. In a recent interview, Ajith addressed these speculations and gave some insights into his life.
Ajith is one of those rare actors who does not actively promote his movies. He rarely gives any interviews and hence, no one knows what’s actually happening in his life apart from the movies he regularly does. In fact, Ajith is an accidental actor, and he still remembers the moment he took the plunge into an unknown territory.
In the recent interview, Ajith said that he always wanted to become a racer but the family’s financial situation did not help him. His father told him that Ajith must find a way himself to do what he always loves. In the process, Ajith got some modeling opportunities in the beginning and later turned an actor, that too, to clear off some debts.
“Acting was never on my radar. I am an accidental actor,” revealed Ajith.
Addressing the speculations surrounding his retirement from cinema, Ajith said, “You never know! It’s not about me planning when to retire, I could be forced into retirement. I don’t want to take anything for granted.”
Ajith’s philosophy is to make the most of life, and he does not give a thought about retirement currently. As he revealed, it is something that he can be forced into and not about him planning it.
So far, Ajith had two releases this year and he is yet to confirm his next movie.
