Star Hero to Go Blind in ‘Remake’!

Akshay Kumar is one of the star heroes in the Bollywood film industry, who is relentlessly trying to score a hit with a remake. Despite scoring back-to-back flops, Akshay wants to attempt one more remake. The latest news is that he signed the remake of the Malayalam film Oppam.

Post Pandemic, Akshay Kumar has worked on multiple remakes, but none of those have worked in his favour.

Akshay Kumar remade Laxmii, a remake of Kaanchana, and Cutputli, a remake of the Tamil film Ratsasan. Both films were directly released on OTT but did not receive a positive response from the audiences.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar also remade Jigarthanda as Bachchhan Pandey. And then, the actor also remade the Malayalam film Driving License as Selfiee. The last remake he attempted is Sarfira, the official remake of Soorarai Pottru. Akshay Kumar tried to remake the mix of Tamil and Malayalam movies.

Now, Akshay Kumar plans to remake Malayalm film Oppam, starring Mohanlal in the lead role. The film is a hit in Malayalam but there is no clarity if it becomes a hit in Hindi.

Earlier, the speculations came out that Saif Ali Khan will remake Oppam but looks like Akshay is doing it.
