2 Back-to-Back Hits, 2 More on the Way!

Director-actor Pradeep Ranganathan, who is on a roll by scoring consecutive hits with Love Today and Dragon, is coming up with two more films this year. While Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) is hitting the screens on September 18, Dude is gearing up for a worldwide release during Diwali in October. This means that the promising young hero would have three releases in a single calendar year, which is a rarity nowadays.

After helming Comali with Ravi Mohan in 2019, Pradeep turned into a lead actor with Love Today in 2022. It went on to become a big hit in both Tamil and Telugu. Earlier this year, he arrived with Dragon, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Even this rom-com emerged as a huge success in Tamil and Telugu. With consecutive success, Pradeep became a promising and bankable talent in the Tamil and Telugu film industries.

LIK is also a romantic comedy directed by Vignesh Shivan. It features Kriti Shetty as the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for it. The film wrapped up its shoot recently, and now, the makers have officially announced the release date as September 18.

On the other side, Dude seems to be another romantic comedy, directed by Keerthiswaran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. “Premalu” fame Mamitha Baiju is playing the female lead in it. The shoot is currently in progress, and the makers have recently announced that it will hit the screens during Diwali this year. An official release date will be announced soon.

Pradeep Ranganathan clearly seems to be targeting youth, and his upcoming lineup suggests the same. It has to be seen if he continues his success streak with LIK and Dude as well.
