Dampener on NTR’s Birthday to Hype War2?

Everyone was expecting an update about the Jr NTR–Prashanth Neel project to mark NTR’s birthday on May 20. However, it turned out to be a dampener for NTR fans, as the makers of the NTR-Neel film officially stated that no update would be released on that day.

In an official Twitter statement posted on Saturday, the NTRNeel handle said,
“Dear fans, we know how eager you are to celebrate the man who’s given us countless reasons to cheer. With the War2 content releasing, we felt it is best to give it its moment and save the NTRNeel mass missile glimpse for later.”

Meanwhile, fans have been urging the makers to unveil at least the first look to satisfy the long wait. Some netizens have expressed that the film needs some hype and visibility, as not even a first look has been revealed since the project’s announcement.

It is learnt that director Prashanth Neel decided not to release the video glimpse on NTR’s birthday to make way for another much-awaited action drama ‘War2’ in which NTR plays a crucial role. War2 is set for a worldwide release this August, and its makers are expected to release a video glimpse on May 20. Neel reportedly wanted to allow War2 to have its moment without any overlap.

Prashanth Neel, who rose to pan-India stardom with the KGF franchise, is collaborating with Jr NTR for the first time. The film, tentatively titled Dragon, is currently being shot in interior Karnataka. It may be recalled that NTR joined the sets of NTRNeel on April 22.

Promising an explosive mix of action, drama, and mass appeal, the film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and is expected to deliver a cinematic spectacle on the scale of KGF. However, the makers are maintaining a high level of secrecy regarding the film’s storyline.
