Universal hero Kamal Haasan will be seen sharing screen space with Simbu in the much-awaited Pan India spectacle Thug Life being helmed by Mani Ratnam. As the release date approaches, the makers upped the game in promotions, and unveiled the trailer just a while ago.
The trailer begins with showcasing some breathtaking visuals, followed by the introduction of Kamal Haasan in the role of a gangster who once was saved by Simbu when the latter was a kid. They started to share father-son bonding. However, things turn badly, and they become foes.
Mani Ratnam is a specialist in narrating epic stories in a big canvas, and he penned powerful characterizations for both Kamal Haasan and Simbu. The narrative was so engaging, whereas his taking is exceptional.
Kamal Haasan is truly remarkable as a gangster. His body language, swag, dialogue delivery standout. Simbu is brilliant in another authoritative character. The movie indeed is an intense faceoff between these two characters.
AR Rahman’s music supports the film so much. It’s almost like the spine of the film. Ravi K Chandran’s visuals complement the story-telling so well and his choice of colours needs to be appreciated. The production design of Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies are top-notch.
It is evident through the trailer that Thug Life is a potential winner on hands for the makers. The movie will be gracing the cinemas on June 5th.
