AA22xA6 To Become ‘Iconic’ Project?

Director Atlee and Icon star Allu Arjun announced a collaboration, which is in the pre-production stage. With just the announcement video, the buzz around this powerful collaboration reverberates nationwide. The film marks Atlee’s debut in Telugu, and Kalanithi Maran bankrolls the project under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner. Interestingly, the speculations say that the film will have the title, Icon.

Team Allu Arjun successfully promoted the tag, Icon Star for Allu Arjun during the promotions of Pushpa 2. In fact, the title Icon was initially considered for a project that Allu Arjun planned with director Venu Sriram. Bankrolled by Dil Raju, the film was loosely inspired by Bicycle Thieves. The project was called off in a later stage. Now, the title is back in discussions, for this project, AA22xA6.

Additionally, the film is rumored to feature not one or two, but five heroines. Names like Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, and Janhvi Kapoor are already making the rounds, with discussions underway with Bhagyashri Borse. The hunt for the fifth heroine is still on.

The shoot is expected to kick off in June. That said, there has been no official confirmation from Sun Pictures regarding the casting or the title.
