Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is an inspiration to the current generation. Whether for aspiring actors or those seeking to advance in politics, Pawan’s journey serves as an inspiration. However, do you know that Pawan once aspired to follow in Aamir Khan’s footsteps, without considering politics? Producer AM Rathnam revealed this in a recent interview during the promotions of Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
Pawan Kalyan and AM Rathnam wanted to work on a project called Satyagrahi, with Pawan as the director. Despite the initial hype, the project never took off beyond the muhurtam ceremony. Now, years later, AM Rathnam reflects back on the journey.
AM Rathnam revealed that Pawan told him that he would have followed Aamir Khan had Satyagraha happened and become a hit. Pawan had directorial plans, and he was supposed to take up Satyagrahi right after the film Johnny. However, things did not go as expected. Pawan even told that he might have not thought about politics if Satyagrahi happened and became a hit.
Whatever the reason, the fact that Satyagrahi still lingers in conversations today says a lot. It wasn’t just another shelved project—it was a moment where a star stood at a creative crossroads. And fans, even now, are left wondering what could have happened had the film been made.
