Thammudu Returns To July 4th; What about Kingdom & HHVM?

Nithiin’s Thammudu was initially planned for a release on July 4th but then, the team postponed it. Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom occupied the spot. Now, in the latest turnaround of developments, Thammudu is coming back to occupy July 4th while Kingdom will be postponed again. Team Thammudu officially confirmed the film’s release date as July 4th, hinting at the postponement of Kingdom.

Team Kingdom requested Dil Raju, the producer of Thammudu to postpone their film. Sithara Entertainments bankrolls Kingdom and they wanted to bring the film to release soon. However with the postponement of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the release schedules have been disrupted at once. It will impact other films too.

Most likely, the June calendar will remain unaffected. Despite the makers of Kubera wanting to postpone their film to July, they won’t be proceeding with the plan. The OTT platform is adding pressure on the team that they release the film on June 20th itself.

Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa will hit the screens on June 27th and with the team actively promoting the film, there may be no question of postponement with the post-production works also happening at a rapid pace.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu which was supposed to release on June 12th is postponed and there is no clarity on when it will hit the screens. The team might look for a probable date in July.

But the question that remains is which film will occupy the coming weekend. With Thug Life failing miserably, there is a chance for any film to get preponed and make the most of the advantage.

Having said that, Thammudu trailer will be out on the 11th of this month. Starring Nithiin in the lead role, Venu Sriram is the film’s director.
