Tollywood Director AS Ravikumar Is No More

Popular Telugu director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary, who shot to fame for films like Bhai, Yagnam, Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, and others, passed away last night. The director has been suffering from serious illness and reportedly died of a heart attack.

AS Ravi Kumar made his debut as a director in Tollywood with the film Yagnam starring Gopichand. Later, he worked with star heroes. He made Veerabhadra with Balakrishna.

Sai Durgha Tej’s first release Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham was also directed by him. He also did Soukhyam, Aatadistha and few other films.

AS Ravi Kumar is survived by his wife and children. Reportedly, he is staying alone for quite some time and his last film was Tiragabadara Swamy, starring Raj Tarun in the lead role.

Despite scoring some duds, there are some films in his career that remained memorable with audiences. Especially, most of the songs from his films are also popular.
