Reason Behind TFI–CBN Meet Cancellation

Telugu film industry representatives were supposed to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan next weekend. But, it was preponed to yesterday and was called off.

It has already been reported that the meeting is cancelled, but there is no clarity on when the meeting will be organized. Although it is not officially reported, the busy schedules of multiple stakeholders involved resulted in the cancellation of the meeting.

Interestingly, Chandra Babu got busy with a crucial meeting yesterday. He met Union Minister Piyush Goyal in Velagapudi to discuss the trade tax reforms. Since it is essential for Chandrababu, he might cancel the meeting with Tollywood in comparison.

Additionally, Pawan Kalyan is also unavailable as he got busy with the shoot of Ustaad Bhagat Singh in a foreign country. With both the leaders unavailable, and also the unavailability of some actors due to their busy shoot schedules, the meeting has been called off.

However, it is still unclear if Pawan can return by next weekend and if the meeting will be convened again. Earlier, Pawan penned an open letter, expressing his displeasure over Tollywood for not meeting the government even after the completion of a year, which he called a ‘Return Gift.’
