Hero Vijay Deverakonda gave an emotional and inspiring speech at the launch of Dil Raju Dreams, a new initiative started by producer Dil Raju to support upcoming talent in the film industry. The event attracted a large number of young artists and filmmakers hoping for a break in cinema.
Vijay spoke about his own struggles before becoming a star. He remembered the early days when he would search for casting calls online every morning, especially on a site called Idlebrain.com. For months, this was his routine—waiting for the right chance. That opportunity came when he saw a casting call for Sekhar Kammula’s film Life Is Beautiful, which changed his life.
He shared that over 60,000 people had applied, but only 11 were selected, including him and Naveen Polishetty. Vijay said those six months of waiting and trying were stressful, but better than having no chance at all. The hope that he might make it gave him a reason to keep going.
He compared this to Dil Raju Dreams, saying that such platforms bring hope to lakhs of people chasing their dreams. Even if one person’s dream comes true, he believes this initiative will be a success.
Vijay ended his speech by thanking Dil Raju and wishing good luck to all the applicants. He said he looks forward to the day someone stands on stage and says, “I got my break because of Dil Raju Dreams.” His words moved the audience, reminding them that with hard work, hope, and the right opportunity, dreams do come true.
