Ramayana Part 1 Shoot Wrapped, First Glimpse to Drop on July 3

The wait is almost over for one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects! Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana—starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, has officially wrapped the shoot of Part 1. The emotional final day of filming saw Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, tear up while addressing the cast and crew. Calling it “the most important role” of his career, the actor expressed deep gratitude towards the entire team.

The makers are now all set to unveil the first official glimpse of Ramayana on July 3, 2025, with a grand reveal of the film’s poster and logo. Titled Ramayana: The Introduction, this promo marks the beginning of the film’s long-awaited promotional campaign. Though a teaser is reportedly ready and certified by the CBFC, the makers are holding it back, as the film is still over a year away from release.

Directed by Dangal and Chhichhore filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana is envisioned as a two-part mythological epic. Part 1 is slated for Diwali 2026, while Part 2 will arrive on Diwali 2027. The film boasts a star-studded ensemble, with Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari.

Behind-the-scenes videos from the shoot wrap have already gone viral on social media, showcasing heartwarming moments between Ranbir and Ravi Dubey, along with an emotional speech by director Nitesh Tiwari.

Produced on a massive scale, the film’s VFX is handled by the Oscar-winning studio DNEG. The makers also plan to use advanced AI to localize the film globally, enabling native lip-sync in multiple languages.

With just days to go for the first look, excitement is sky-high. Ramayana is shaping up to be more than just a film – it’s a cinematic event rooted in Indian culture and designed to captivate audiences across the globe.
