Telugu Theaters – War 2 vs Coolie

Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is an aggressive filmmaker. Not only as a producer, but he is equally active as a distributor. Multiple times in the past, Naga Vamsi distributed films and tasted success. His next release is going to be War 2 in the Telugu states. His association with NTR resulted in the distribution of the movie in Telugu states which will now result in less screens for Coolie. Both films will release on August 14th.

With NTR playing one of the leads in WAR 2, Naga Vamsi will approach the film aggressively. Already, he satisfied the NTR fans when he distributed Devara Part 1. Now, he would repeat the same once again for WAR 2. So, he is already planning a wide release of the film in the Telugu states, with the screen count being extremely limited for Coolie.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s market improved after he tasted success with Jailer. Moreover, Lokesh Kanagaraj also enjoys a decent craze in Telugu. The distribution rights for the film were also sold for a big price, but comparatively, Coolie might be given less screens which will leave the film with a target to gross over ₹100 crore in the Telugu states.

The Rajini and Lokesh combination will need to pull off a miracle to reach breakeven, especially with the clash against War 2. The promotional campaign of the two films will give us a hint of to what extent this works.
