Young actor Suhaas scored a good success with his debut film Colour Photo, which had a direct OTT release. Later, he won accolades for films like Writer Padmabhushan and Ambajipeta Marriage Brand. However, he is failing to establish a market for himself as a lead hero. His recent films like Prasanna Vadanam, Janaka Aithe Ganaka and Gorre Puranam simply failed to make any mark.
He was recently seen in Uppu Kappurambu, alongside Keerthy Suresh. This rural comedy drama had its direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video last Friday. Even this film failed to impress the audience and couldn’t boost Suhaas’s career in any way. The makers didn’t do any promotions, and thus many people were unaware of its release. Those who watched were not impressed by it, and even the reviews weren’t encouraging. Thus, Suhaas has now pinned all hopes on his upcoming film “Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama”, which releases on July 11. It has to be seen if this film gives that much-needed breakthrough to Suhaas.
The trailer of Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama looks decent, but it doesn’t have a USP to bring the audience to the theatres. So, the film’s fate entirely depends on word of mouth. If it remains routine or lacks any new aspect, it would be difficult to draw an audience to theatres, especially in current times when movies are premiering on OTT in less than a month. Just like Uppu Kappurambu, Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama’s promotions are also dull, and it looks like the makers are only banking on the mouth-talk.
