The much-awaited release date of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kingdom is out now. Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, the film is set to hit the screens on July 31st. After a couple of postponements, the makers finally decided to bring the film this month itself. It is a very good date as there is no other competition for the film, at least for two weeks.
However, with Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu releasing on 24th July, and Kingdom on 31st, the gap is only one week. Earlier, producer Naga Vamsi revealed that he would stay away from the competition if it clashed with Pawan Kalyan’s film. There were rumors that the OTT partner of Kingdom put pressure on them to come early but Vamsi cleverly avoided it. Now, they have a fair gap of 7 days between the two films. If HHVM becomes a big hit, then it will be critical for the allotment of theatres between HHVM and Kingdom.
On the other hand, with WAR 2 and Coolie releasing on August 14th, there will be ample time for Vijay Devarakonda’s film to mint huge money at the box office. Even if Kingdom is having a dream run, with Naga Vamsi distributing WAR 2, he would surely distribute theatres accordingly so that both films would not get affected. Looking at the current scenario, Kingdom is definitely sitting in the right spot.
The team released a promo today, confirming the film’s release date. There were speculations that the delay of the film is because of the delay in re-recording. It looks like everything is sorted now and the score given by Anirudh for release date promo is intriguing. The viewers are in for a mesmerizing theatrical experience and the promo promises the same.
