All eyes on Veeramallu’s ‘BIG’ opening

Pawan Kalyan’s presence during the promotions of Hari Hara Veera Mallu is going to bring a big boost to the film unit. Unlike other films where the content itself speaks, this particular period drama needs to be promoted and no one better than Pawan Kalyan can handle it. Understanding the need and urgency, he quickly jumped in, to promote the film. Meanwhile, the governments of both Telugu states also appropriately gave ticket price hikes, which is a good sign for increased revenues during the opening weekend. The team is expecting a great opening on the release day.

With the special premiere show fixed around 600 rupees excluding GST and a hike of 200 rupees as well as 150 rupees on tickets for almost two weeks is definitely going to help the film, provided it attracts the right kind of audiences. Moreover, what is important is the word of mouth as it can alone bring crowds to theatres, especially when the hikes are heavy.

The advance sales of premieres in North America are encouraging so far. So far, the reports indicate that the film made an amount of $406,126 from 446 Locations. Now, the film needs another huge jump to have a chance at $1M premieres. With Pawan Kalyan deciding to take part in the promotions for the next two days can also change the dynamics of the film. An event is scheduled to happen in Visakhapatnam while another one is supposed to take place in Mangalagiri.

AM Rathnam bankrolled the film, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna. The film will release on 24th July, with a special premiere taking place tomorrow evening.
