When it comes to either producing a film or distributing a film, Geetha Arts has a unique style of picking movies. Especially, when there is a chance to dub the other language movies and release them in Telugu, Allu Aravind and his team are leaving a positive impression. It seems like the films with devotional elements are working out for the banner.
In the past, Geetha Arts brought Kantara to Telugu. Although it is a properly packed commercial movie, the core concept of the film is devotion. It worked out big time, eventually bringing success to the movie. Meanwhile, they distributed and released Mahavatar Narsimha now which is again a devotional film with animation and 3D effects.
Not many producers would show interest in releasing the devotional or mythological films these days with the number of audiences waiting for the genre is decreasing. However, Geetha Arts found success in the genre twice. The latest collections of Mahavatar Narsimha reflect a resounding success, and had it been promoted properly, it could have fetched even greater profits.
On the other hand, they also tested their luck with a film like Chhaavaa, a historical drama. The film was a big blockbuster in Hindi. The film also turned out to be a hit in Telugu. While the scale of success wasn’t the same as in hindi, the banner earned respect for taking up such an important project.
On the whole, while Geetha Arts and GA2 are producing back to back movies, these dubbing films boost their spirit to bring many more good films to wider audiences.
