The “Power House” track from Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie is one of the current chartbusters in Indian cinema. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, this song went viral moments after it was released last week. It also raised the anticipation for the film, and people are pretty excited to witness its video version on the big screen from August 14.
Meanwhile, the makers unveiled the Telugu version of the song the other day. Shockingly, the Telugu track has received a backlash from the audience, who are requesting the makers to keep the original version as it is in the movie’s Telugu dubbed version too. When the Tamil track was released, not only Tamil audiences but even Telugu people went crazy hearing it. It is already in the playlists of many Telugu folks.
However, the Telugu version is being criticised for its lyrics. They don’t seem to fit right into the song, failing to give the powerful vibe of the original version. Thus, Telugu audiences are demanding that Production house should cancel the Telugu track and keep the Tamil song as it is in the Telugu version too.
This is not the first time that the Telugu version of a Tamil song disappointed the audience. Earlier, it happened in the case of films like Master, Leo too. It is high time for Tamil makers to concentrate on Telugu songs in the same way they do for the Tamil tracks. Otherwise, they may have to face similar backlash from the audience.
