War 2, the next big entry in YRF’s Spy Universe, is heading for a theatrical release on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film features Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in lead roles, marking NTR’s official Bollywood debut. So far, the promotions have been low-key, with only one song, Aavaan Jaavan, released to the public.
Now, just ahead of release, the makers have unveiled a brief promo for a new dance number titled Salam Anali in Telugu (Janaabe Aali in Hindi, Kalaaba in Tamil). The teaser showcases a stylish face-off between Hrithik and NTR, choreographed by Bosco Martis. Both actors appear in coordinated white outfits, performing in a vibrant, club-style setting backed by a large dance crew and slick lighting.
The full song has not been released online. The team has decided to reserve the complete version exclusively for theatres, aiming to enhance the cinematic experience and push footfalls closer to release.
The song also brings a different shade to Jr NTR’s on-screen image. Known for his high-energy, mass-heavy dance numbers in Telugu cinema, NTR here leans into a more composed and refined style. The choreography focuses on grace and controlled movement, offering a new dimension to his dancing and potentially surprising audiences used to his usual tempo. It’s a fresh shift that could be a visual treat for fans.
With advance bookings yet to pick up pace, this teaser could help generate momentum, particularly in the Telugu market. Whether it drives significant pre-release buzz will be clearer in the coming days as promotions intensify ahead of War 2’s release.
