Yash Raj Films had been keeping the main villain of War 2 a mystery until now. The studio finally revealed him through the man himself. Bobby Deol, who shot to superstardom overnight with Animal, will now take on Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan in a high-voltage antagonist role.
Bobby said he’s thrilled to enter YRF’s Spy Universe with such a grand debut, especially since he hasn’t done any film in this franchise before. Director Ayan Mukerji is said to have crafted his character with intense detailing, promising a powerful screen presence.
Rumors during the shoot suggested one of the two heroes might have a negative shade, but the team clarified that’s not true. Instead, both lead characters will share an emotional link that will surprise audiences on screen. After introducing Emraan Hashmi to the spy world in Tiger 3, YRF is now adding Bobby Deol to the lineup, signaling the franchise’s growing scale.
With the film releasing on August 14, advance bookings have already begun. The massive pre-release event held yesterday pushed the buzz to a new level. While War 2 seemed slightly slow in building hype earlier, it is now gaining momentum, fueled by Kiara Advani’s glamour, Bobby Deol’s menacing presence, big-scale action, and the Jr NTR–Hrithik Roshan clash.
Fans, who earlier felt the promotions were underwhelming, are now more confident after the last night event. Both Hrithik and NTR delivered fiery moments to excite the audience, and the industry is eagerly waiting to see the verdict in just four days.
