Nivin Pauly is one of the few actors in the Malayalam film industry who could not make use of the success or the stardom that he gained. In this pan-Indian era, with a massive success like Premam to his credit, Nivin could have easily followed in Dulquer’s footsteps.
However, his poor choice of scripts is pushing him off the radar. After scoring consecutive flops, he seems to be on track again now with his next film, Dear Students. The film’s teaser is out, and the netizens are already anticipating his comeback.
Nayanthara plays the female lead role in the film, marking her reunion with Nivin Pauly after their earlier outing, Love Action Drama. The teaser, which was released recently, had an interesting premise.
Nivin and Nayan are introduced in a restaurant owned by him. Nayan comes there to investigate something. The little conversation between them is humorously crafted. And then, the teaser also introduces a bunch of students.
While the core plot and conflict of the film have been kept under wraps, the teaser looks like a lot of fun. Nivin is someone who does comedy extremely well, and the film seems to have the things in the right place. The star power of Nayan would also benefit the film, showing a lot of promise.
Directed by George Philip Roy and Sandeep Kumar jointly, the film is bankrolled by Maverik Movies Pvt. Ltd – Pauly Jr Pictures – Rowdy Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Vineet Jain and Nivin Pauly are producing the film jointly.
