Actress Neha Sharma made a big debut in Tollywood alongside Ram Charan in the film Chirutha. However, her acting career didn’t take off as expected, as she failed to score big hits in both the Telugu and Hindi film industries. But she managed to stay in the limelight with her glamorous photoshoots, which brought her a huge following on social media. Now, she is turning into a director for a high-budget period creature drama, produced by Bollywood star Ajay Devgn.
According to the latest reports in Bollywood, Neha Sharma will soon helm a film for a major OTT platform. The story of the film is set in the year 1945, when India’s independence fight was at its peak.
Ajay Devgn will bankroll it and features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mohit Raina in the lead roles. The pre-production is currently underway, and the regular shooting is expected to begin in October this year. The makers are planning to release the movie in 2026.
Neha couldn’t achieve the stardom she aimed for as an actress, and it now remains to be seen whether she can make a mark with this film and kickstart her new journey as a director on a strong note.
