Shruti Haasan In, Pooja Hegde Out?

It has been a long time since Pooja Hegde acted in a Telugu film. Her last Telugu release was Acharya, which hit the screens in 2022. She was supposed to be a part of Guntur Kaaram, but she exited the project midway. During the promotions of her film Retro, Pooja said she would be making her comeback in Telugu soon. She said she signed a love story and added that it would mark her re-entry into Tollywood.

Recently, when Dulquer Salmaan launched his new film, everyone thought Pooja Hegde would be a part of it. Many reports also claimed it to be Pooja’s comeback film. However, in a recent interview, Shruti Haasan confirmed that she is a part of that project. With Shruti’s announcement, netizens are wondering what Pooja’s comeback project is.

While some people are saying that both Pooja and Shruti will act in this film, others stated that Shruti might have replaced Pooja. To know which among these assumptions is true, we have to wait for an official confirmation from Pooja or the makers of the film.

Directed by debutant Ravi Nelakuditi, this untitled project was launched earlier this month. It is being bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri of Dasara fame.
