Kalyani Priyadarshan is a talented actress who debuted in Telugu with Akhil’s Hello. Later, she was seen in a couple of other films, but her strong forte is in Malayalam cinema. She is now coming up with a female-centric superhero film titled Lokah, which will also be released in Telugu as Kotha Lokah. The teaser already generated a big hype, which is now scaring the actress.
Speaking in a latest interview, Kalyani admitted the fact that the teaser attracted a lot of people and the attention it got was not completely expected. However, she also made it clear that the film is not going to be a Marvel or Dune sort.
“Lokah Teaser got more attention than we expected. We’re a little afraid it might overhype the film as a Marvel or Dune sort of film. We want people to know that they are still going to watch a Malayalam film. We are blending the superhero element with all the other things that Malayalees are familiar with. It is still a Malayalam film but with some different things in it,” she said.
The actress is trying to project the film as a proper Malayalam film like Minnal Murali. It is also a superhero kind of a film but with Malayalee tinge spread all over. The actress is approaching the right strategy by not attracting unnecessary hype, which could ruin things for the film. If the audiences come prepared, that will help the film have a long run.
Moreover, the film is crucial for the actress since she is headlining it. Also starring Naslen, the film is presented by Dulquer Salmaan. The film is releasing on 28th August.
