The much-talked-about clash between Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 and Pawan Kalyan’s OG is no longer happening. Both films were initially set to arrive on September 25, raising expectations of a box office battle. But the makers of Akhanda 2 have stepped aside, announcing that their film needs more time in post-production.
This decision clears the way for Pawan Kalyan’s OG to dominate theatres on its own. The buzz around OG is already at a peak, with tickets in overseas markets selling out quickly and fans creating huge demand for merchandise. With extra theatres now available due to Akhanda 2’s postponement, the film is expected to open on a massive scale.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna fans will have to wait a little longer. Industry talk suggests that Akhanda 2 could arrive in December, with director Boyapati Seenu focusing on fine-tuning the visuals and scale of the film. The team is confident the sequel will look even bigger than the first part.
For now, the spotlight is firmly on Pawan Kalyan as OG heads for a solo release and an electrifying box office run.
