Where is Rashmika’s Girlfriend?

Actor Rahul Ravindran displayed a great promise when he turned a director with the film Chi La Sow. Later, he tasted a flop with Manmadhudu 2. However, Rahul did not stop his direction trails and joined hands with actress Rashmika Mandanna for the film, Girlfriend. The film’s shoot began long ago, and the team has been staying low-key for the reasons best known to them.

There were reports some time back about the film hitting the screens on September 5th. However, there has been a buzz about the film for almost two months now. The last we heard about the film was when the team released 2nd audio single.

The film has already been delayed for a long time, and further postponement won’t help its prospects. Rahul Ravindran is neither as busy as an actor nor as a character artist at the moment, and he has all the time reportedly to work on the film’s post-production. We hear that the film’s shoot is also inching toward completion.

Rashmika is a pan-India artist with a box-office value of over 1000 Cr rupees. The last film she was a part of was Kuberaa and then she is now doing Thama in Hindi and film with Vijay Devarakonda in Telugu. Apart from these films, she has not been doing any other film. Considering she has already completed her part of the film’s shoot, it remains to be seen why the makers are staying silent all this while. Reportedly, a few portions of hers might still be left to be shot.

The more the team delays the film, the less relevant it will be when it finally hits the screens, and it could affect the movie’s box office run.
