YRF Betting Big On Krrish 4 Despite War 2’s Failure?

Rakesh Roshan is all occupied with the pre-production of Krrish 4 currently. The veteran filmmaker revealed an update on the project that the film’s shoot begins from the middle of next year. Interestingly, Yash Raj Films will be coming on board to mark their first collaboration with Rakesh’s Filmkraft, to co-produce the movie.

YRF recently collaborated with Hrithik Roshan on the prestigious film War 2, but the movie failed miserably at the box office, leading to significant losses for the producers. Although opened well, it couldn’t sustain the momentum and eventually closed as a failure. Despite this setback, the banner is now ready to take another risk with Krrish 4, which is considered a dream project for the Roshans.

War 2 will have an impact on Hrithik’s upcoming films but at the same time, the value of Krrish franchise could generate attention on the film. Whatever the case, given the current situation, investing huge money in Krrish 4 is seen as a financial risk. However, considering the craze and the franchise’s previous success, YRF is unlikely to miss the opportunity.

Rakesh Roshan plans to bring the film to theatres in 2027. The team is spending a lot of time on pre-production so that they do not have to worry about the delays of the shoot.
