BO Day 1: Mirai Opens Bigger than Hanuman

Teja Sajja’s latest film Mirai has started its journey with a thunderous response at the box office. Released yesterday amid huge expectations, the film lived up to the hype with grand visuals, solid performances, and an engaging storyline. Both critics and audiences are praising the movie for its ambition, scale, and vision, creating a unanimous positive buzz.

On Day 1, Mirai collected an impressive ₹27.20 crores worldwide. In North America, it raked in over USD 750K from premieres and first-day shows. These numbers are sensational for a Teja Sajja film and are bigger than the Day 1 collections of his blockbuster Hanuman. Trade experts believe that the weekend collections will be massive, as the film is already showing strong momentum on Day 2 with excellent bookings.

Teja Sajja’s powerful performance, Manchu Manoj’s impactful negative role, top-notch VFX, and the unique blend of fantasy and mythology are being widely appreciated. Director Karthik Ghattamaneni, along with producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, has delivered a much-needed big-screen spectacle for Telugu cinema after a dull phase.
