Aabeer Gulaal is one of the upcoming movies in Hindi cinema, starring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor. Since Fawaad has a Pakistani connection, the government placed a ban on the release of the movie during Operation Sindoor. The film is back in the news with reports surfacing online that it will have a release on the 26th of this month.
However, there is no truth to this. The Press Information Bureau stepped in to address the speculations and issued a clarity that no permission has been granted for the release of the movie.
Taking to X, PIB stated, “It is being claimed by several media outlets that the film ‘Aabeer Gulaal,’ starring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, will release in Indian cinemas on September 26, 2025. #PIBFactCheck. This claim is FAKE. No such clearance has been granted for this film.”
With PIB’s intervention, the confusion has been cleared and the makers have to wait furthermore to bring the film for a release in India.
Directed by Aarti S Bagdi, Aabeer Gulaal also features Parmeet Sethi, Farida Jalal, Ridhi Dogra, Lisa Haydon, and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles.
