A shocking incident has come to light in Boyinpally, Hyderabad, where a school building was misused for drug production. What should have been a place for children’s education turned into a hub for illegal activities.
Jayaprakash Goud, a resident of Mahbubnagar district, had taken charge of a private school named Medha School in the Sai Colony area. Instead of running it only for students from LKG to Class 10, he secretly converted two rooms on the second floor into a small drug unit.
With the help of his associate Guravareddy, he learned the formula for preparing Alprazolam, a banned narcotic. For the past few months, he had been manufacturing it inside the school and supplying it to liquor shops in Bhutpur mandal of Mahbubnagar district.
The Eagle team of the police got a tip-off and raided the premises. They seized Alprazolam stock, equipment, and arrested Jayaprakash along with two others, Uday Sai and Murali, from Boyinpally.
Locals were shocked that a school, where parents send their children for education, was being used for such dangerous activities.
