Line Clear for OG in AP, All Eyes on Telangana GO!

Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s new release, OG, is going to get a grand release in Andhra Pradesh. Already, his Hari Hara Veera Mallu got ticket price hikes, but the film could not capitalize on it because of its weak content. However, OG has all the elements that would make the film a big blockbuster, especially with hiked prices. The government of AP has confirmed the special shows, taking the craze to the next level.

From the beginning, the permissions for paid premieres and midnight shows in the Telugu states have been in discussion. People are unsure if the Telangana government will give the extra push to OG, while they are clear that the AP government will clear all hurdles. As expected, they released a G.O. confirming that the film can enjoy hiked prices for ten days.

Even before the trailer has arrived, the makers obtained the government’s order with hiked prices and it will boost their confidence during the promotions.

A benefit show can be screened on September 25th in AP with a ticket price of 1000 rupees. To enhance the ticket rate on each ticket for Single Screen – 125 rupees per ticket and for Multiplex – 150 rupees per ticket from September 25th to October 4th on the existing rates has been granted.

Considering the hype that the film is carrying and the way fans are celebrating it already before the release, what the film needs is a solid trailer, which Sujeeth will definitely deliver. Moreover, the Dusshera holidays advantage is going to help the film in terms of revenues but we have to see how families will react to these hiked prices as it could burden them during the festival season and month-end scenario.

All eyes are now on the Telangana GO. Many are unsure whether the government will approve such high ticket hikes or grant permissions for midnight premieres. The industry is waiting to see how the tables will turn once the Telangana GO is out.

Having said that, everyone is curious on the decision of Telangana government now.
