Actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s keenly awaited action drama, They Call Him OG, is less than a week away from its massive theatrical release around the globe. Over Rs 200 crores are riding on this power-packed period gangster drama.
Giving a massive boost to the humongous expectations among fans and trade circles, the Telangana government on Friday approved producer DVV Danayya’s request for OG’s ticket rate hike and premiere shows (only 1 show) across the state on September 24.
The G.O. issued by the Telangana government states that OG’s premiere shows will be held at 9 PM on September 24 (Wednesday), with the ticket rates capped at Rs 800 (including GST). In addition, OG’s ticket rates from September 25 to October 4 (10 days) will be hiked by Rs 150 for multiplexes and Rs 100 for single screens, respectively.
Following the Telangana government’s much-needed boost, it’s needless to say that all eyes will be on the revised G.O. by the Andhra Pradesh government, allowing premiere shows across the state. Power Star fans in AP are hoping that the AP government will follow suit and issue a fresh G.O. ahead of the film’s release. All said and done, They Call Him OG is sure to open with a loud bang next weekend.
