OG Event Mismanagement Leaves Fans Disappointed

Today was meant to be a big day for They Call Him OG fans. The plan included the release of the film’s trailer, a musical concert, and a grand pre-release event at LB Stadium in Hyderabad. Fans traveled from across the Telugu states, expecting a well-organized show.

But the event turned into a frustrating experience. The trailer, expected either in the morning or evening, was not released, and there is still no information on when it will be available. Fans waited all day only to leave disappointed.

The event’s biggest problem was poor planning. Despite early signs of bad weather, organizers chose an outdoor venue instead of Shilpakala Vedika, which would have been safe and comfortable. The show was scheduled to start at 8 PM, far too late. Compare this to recent big film’s pre-release, also held outdoors in heavy rain: it started early, used a waterproof stage, and finished on time without troubling fans.

Today’s organizers failed on all counts. Heavy rain forced the event to stop midway. Fans, who had come from far away, were left standing in the rain. None of the cast or crew were given a chance to share their experiences, even though the event was supposed to be a “silence breaker” for OG, as the team had remained tight-lipped until now.

The musical concert went ahead but was limited to lip-sync performances. Many fans felt it lacked the excitement they had expected. Thaman and his team performed, but the presentation could have been better prepared.

The only saving grace was Pawan Kalyan. He stepped onto the stage in pouring rain as Ojas Gambheera, katana in hand, and carried the event with his energy and confidence. His presence reminded fans why he is a star, but even he could not fix the poor planning around him. Many felt that if the event had been indoors, he could have spoken more about the film and the preparation he did for the action set pieces.

Fans came excited to celebrate but left tired and disappointed. This should serve as a wake-up call for organizers: proper planning, especially for outdoor events with unpredictable weather, is not a choice—it’s a must.
